Guide
Lovable Business vs Pro: which plan should you buy?
Buy Lovable Business only if you need its governance features: single sign-on, role-based access, internal publish or workspace data excluded from AI training by default. Otherwise buy Pro, which gives you 200 credits for the same $50 a month that buys 100 credits on Business.

Decision
Is Lovable Business worth it?
It's a governance decision, not a capacity decision. Business does not include more credits than Pro: at the entry tier both give 100 credits a month, and Business charges twice as much for them. What the extra money buys is control.
Choose Business if any of these is true:
- Your company requires single sign-on for tools that hold company data. Pro doesn't have SSO.
- You need role-based access to control who can do what in the workspace.
- The app should be visible only inside the company. Business adds internal publish.
- Your AI policy says vendors may not train on company data by default. On Business, workspace data is excluded from AI model training by default. On Pro, each account has to opt out.
- You want the Business extras: a security center, personal projects, design templates, the Lovable API and passwords on preview links.
- You want priority support.
Choose Pro if none of those apply. You keep unlimited members and pay half as much per credit. You can move up later, when a rollout or an IT review actually needs the controls.

Same $50
Pro 200 or Business 100?
Pro with 200 credits and Business with 100 credits cost the same: $50 a month, or $500 a year ($42 a month). This comparison settles most decisions.
- Pro 200: twice the monthly credits, $0.25 a credit, top-ups at $0.30 a credit.
- Business 100: half the credits, $0.50 a credit, top-ups at $0.60 a credit, plus SSO, role-based access, internal publish and training excluded by default.
Running apps and in-app AI cost the same in dollars on both plans. Lovable says credits are priced higher on Business, so those uses deduct fewer credits there. By our arithmetic the two balances have the same dollar value: 200 × $0.25 = $50 and 100 × $0.50 = $50.
Building is the open question. Lovable states the same-dollar rule only for running apps and in-app AI, and does not say whether build messages cost fewer credits on Business. If most of your usage is building, check what your own messages cost on your current plan before you assume Business 100 goes as far as Pro 200.
Top-ups
How much do top-ups cost?
When monthly credits run out you can buy more without changing plan. Pro top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits ($0.30 each); Business top-ups cost $30 per 50 ($0.60 each). Top-up credits stay valid for 12 months.
A bigger tier beats regular top-ups. Our arithmetic for needing 200 credits in a month:
- Pro 100 plus 100 top-up credits: $25 + (100 × $0.30) = $55. Pro 200 costs $50.
- Business 100 plus 100 top-up credits: $50 + (100 × $0.60) = $110. Business 200 costs $100.
If you top up most months, move up a tier instead. For how credits are spent and reset, see Lovable credits explained.
Billing
Annual billing and seats
Annual billing gives two months free on both plans. Pro 100 is $21 a month billed annually, against $25 monthly; by our arithmetic that's $250 a year instead of $300, a $50 saving. Business 100 is $42 a month billed annually ($500 a year) against $50 monthly ($600 a year).
There is no per-seat price on either plan. Lovable says its plans are priced by the credits they include, not by seats, and every plan allows unlimited members. A team of five on Pro still pays $25 a month; the only thing that changes is how quickly the plan's credits get used.
That makes Lovable unusual among app builders. For how other tools charge teams, see the cheapest AI app builder.
Limits
What Business still lacks
If your IT checklist goes past SSO, check it before you pay for Business. In Lovable's docs these are Enterprise only:
- SCIM user provisioning
- Audit logs
- EU inference
Enterprise pricing is custom. If any of the three is a hard requirement, Business won't pass the review and you can skip it.
For operators
A simple rule for internal tools
- Start on Pro while you build and test. Unlimited members means testers cost nothing extra.
- Ask IT before rollout whether the tool needs SSO, internal-only publishing or default training exclusion for the data it will hold. If yes, move to Business.
- Go straight to Enterprise if IT asks for SCIM, audit logs or EU inference.
- Compare Base44 too if you're still choosing a builder: see Lovable vs Base44 and Base44 alternatives.
FAQ
Common questions
What is the difference between Lovable Pro and Business?
Business adds governance: single sign-on, role-based access, internal publish, a security center, the Lovable API, priority support and workspace data excluded from AI training by default. Both start at 100 credits a month, but Business costs $50 against $25 for Pro.
How much is Lovable Business?
Lovable Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits, or $42 a month billed annually ($500 a year). 200 credits cost $100 a month. Top-ups cost $30 per 50 credits, or $0.60 a credit.
Is Lovable Business worth double the price of Pro?
Only if you need its governance features, such as SSO, role-based access or internal publish. For the same $50 a month, Pro gives you 200 credits against 100 on Business. Lovable says running apps and in-app AI cost the same in dollars on both plans.
Does Lovable Business give you more credits than Pro?
No. At the entry tier both include 100 credits a month, and Business costs twice as much: $0.50 a credit against $0.25 on Pro, by our arithmetic. Lovable has not said whether build messages cost fewer credits on Business.
Does Lovable Pro include SSO?
No. Single sign-on and role-based access are listed on Business and Enterprise, not on Pro. SCIM user provisioning, audit logs and EU inference are Enterprise only.
Does Lovable charge per user on Pro or Business?
No. Lovable says its plans are priced by the credits they include, not by seats, and every plan allows unlimited members. Adding people does not change the subscription price.
Does Lovable train AI models on my data on Pro?
On Pro, each account has to opt out of AI model training. On Business, workspace data is excluded from training by default. If your company has a policy on AI training, check it before choosing Pro.
