About
An independent view of AI build tools
Operator Build is an anonymous, independent publication for executives and operators who build their own internal tools with AI.
Principles
Editorial stance
We write for people who are accountable for results and short on time. That means plain language, honest limits and no hype.
- Independent. No vendor reviews, edits or approves what we publish.
- No paid rankings. Placement, ratings and order in the tracker cannot be bought. Sponsorship never changes a score.
- Sourced. Pricing and plan details link to the vendor's own pages, with a last-checked date. Where sources conflict or we cannot verify a claim, we mark it as uncertain.
- Corrected openly. When we get something wrong, we fix it and update the last-checked date.
We publish anonymously so the focus stays on the tools and the work, not on who is writing.
Method
How we rate "ease for non-coders"
The 1-5 rating reflects how far someone with no coding background can get without help: from a blank prompt to a working, shareable tool with login and stored data. 5 means that is realistic in one sitting; 1-2 means you will need a technical partner or real time spent learning.
Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to tools on this site are, or may become, affiliate links. If you sign up for a paid plan through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate relationships do not affect ratings, ranking or what we include. We list tools whether or not they have an affiliate programme, and we will say so clearly if that ever changes.
Sponsored placements, if any, are always labelled as sponsored and kept separate from editorial content. See Sponsor.
