No-code automation
Make: pricing, free plan and fit for operators
Make is a no-code automation tool: it moves data between your apps when something happens, such as a form submission landing in your CRM and a Slack alert. Paid plans start at $16 a month on Core ($12 billed annually), there is a free plan, and we rate it 3/5 for someone who has never written code.

Summary
Our read
- Where it fits best: connecting an app you built with Lovable, Base44 or Bolt.new to the tools your team already uses: CRM, email, spreadsheets, Slack.
- Ease (3/5): no code, and the visual canvas is easy to follow, but you have to think in triggers, steps and data fields. Expect an afternoon to get a first scenario working, and some trial and error with mapping.
- Not an app builder: Make does not build screens or host a front end. Pair it with an app builder rather than replacing one.
- Billing to watch: you pay in credits; most actions use 1 credit, some AI features use more, and unused credits expire at the end of the term.
Pricing
Plans and prices
- Free $0 – 1,000 credits/month
- Core $16/mo ($12/mo billed annually)
- Pro $28/mo ($21/mo billed annually)
- Teams $51/mo ($38/mo billed annually)

Paid prices are for 10,000 credits a month, the smallest tier on the pricing page; they rise as you add credits (Core works out to $1.60 per 1,000 credits monthly, $1.20 annually). Annual billing saves 25%. Under 20 employees? Make offers a Start-up Plan at 50% off its Business tier, subject to approval.

Free plan
What the free plan includes
- 1,000 credits a month (roughly 1,000 simple actions)
- No-code visual workflow builder and 3,500+ app integrations
- Routers and filters
- Runs no more often than every 15 minutes
Core adds unlimited active scenarios, runs down to every minute and API access. Use the free plan to test one real workflow end to end before paying. Free allowances are the part of any plan that changes most often.
Hosting and data
Where your automations and data live
Hosting: Make is cloud only. Your scenarios run on Make's servers; there is no self-hosted option.
Data and security notes:
- Make holds the logins (connections) to every app you link, so treat your Make account like an admin account and turn on two-factor sign-in.
- Data passing through a scenario is processed by Make; failed runs can be stored for retry.
- Review Make's data-processing terms before routing customer or HR data through it.
Before you connect anything sensitive, decide which apps Make may touch and who owns each scenario once it works.
Caveats
What we could not verify
Flagged at our last check, 2026-10-16:
- Paid prices scale with monthly credit volume; figures shown are the 10,000-credit tier.
- Some AI features use more than 1 credit per action, so AI-heavy scenarios cost more than the headline rate.
Alternatives
Related tools and comparisons
- Main alternative: n8n, cheaper at volume and self-hostable but more technical. See Make vs n8n.
- Need the app itself first? Base44 (5/5) and Lovable (5/5) are the easiest app builders we track.
