Plans

How much does Bolt.new cost?

Bolt.new meters everything in tokens, and Pro is sold in token tiers: more tokens a month cost more. From the pricing page and Bolt's billing help:

  • Free, $0: 300K tokens a day, 1M a month, Bolt branding on websites, unlimited databases.
  • Pro 10M, $25 a month ($18 billed annually): no daily limit, starts at 10M tokens a month, unused tokens roll over, custom domain, up to 1M web requests, expanded database capacity and a choice of database provider.
  • Pro 26M, $50 and Pro 55M, $100: larger tiers from Bolt's billing examples. Pro 26M is $540 billed annually.
  • Teams, $30 per member ($27 billed annually): centralized billing, team-level access management, admin controls and user provisioning.
  • Enterprise, custom: adds SSO and audit logs.

What do Bolt.new tokens cost in dollars?

  • Cost per million tokens

Our arithmetic: plan price ÷ tokens a month.

    1. Pro 26M, annual$1.73
    2. Pro 10M, annual$1.80
    3. Pro 55M, monthly$1.82
    4. Pro 26M, monthly$1.92
    5. Pro 10M, monthly$2.50

    $25 ÷ 10 = $2.50; $50 ÷ 26 = $1.92; $100 ÷ 55 = $1.82; $18 ÷ 10 = $1.80; $45 ÷ 26 = $1.73.

Bolt.new doesn't publish a price per token, so we divided each plan's price by its tokens. Bigger tiers are cheaper per token, and Bolt says so itself: “the most cost-effective option is to upgrade to a higher-tier plan.”

What we can't tell you is how many messages a million tokens buys. Bolt says most token use comes from reading and syncing your project's files, so the larger the project, the more tokens each message uses. A small prototype and a large internal tool burn tokens at very different rates. Watch your balance for the first week, then pick a tier.

One free saving: editing code directly in Code view uses no tokens.

Does annual billing save 28% or 10%?

  • What annual billing saves

Monthly price × 12 against the annual charge.

    1. Pro 10M monthly$300/yr
    2. Pro 10M annual$216/yr
    3. Pro 26M monthly$600/yr
    4. Pro 26M annual$540/yr

    Saves $84 (28%) on Pro 10M and $60 (10%) on Pro 26M.

Both figures appear on Bolt's pages, and both are right for different tiers. “Save up to 28%” on the pricing page applies to the entry tier; the billing page's “save 10%” matches Pro 26M.

Before you commit, know Bolt's terms: annual plans are billed up front, subscriptions are non-refundable, and a downgrade from an annual plan only takes effect at the next annual renewal. Monthly downgrades take effect at the next cycle.

Rollover

Do unused Bolt.new tokens roll over?

On paid plans, yes. Paid tokens stay valid for two months, so they roll over one extra month, and the oldest tokens are used first. The catches, from Bolt's tokens page:

  • You need an active paid plan. If you cancel, you lose all tokens at the end of the billing cycle. Resubscribe before they expire to get them back.
  • Free tokens reset on the 1st of each month.
  • Reload tokens never expire, but you can only buy them on the highest individual monthly Pro plan or on any annual Pro plan. Bolt says their price varies by plan.

Free plan

Where does the free plan stop?

Bolt.new's free plan covers 300K tokens a day and 1M a month, with unlimited databases. Its limits, from Bolt's billing help:

  • Hosting caps: 10 GB of bandwidth and 333,333 web requests a month. Go over and your site is offline for the rest of the month, and these limits can't be raised.
  • Branding: a Made in Bolt badge.
  • No custom domain, and connecting Supabase needs Pro or Teams.

For a tool your team relies on daily, the offline rule is the reason to pay. Compare free plans in the best free AI app builders and AI app builders without a subscription.

Teams

Is Bolt.new Teams worth it for a small team?

Teams costs $30 per member a month and Bolt says “tokens are not shared among team members”. For three people: 3 × $30 = $90 a month. SSO and audit logs are listed under Enterprise, not Teams.

Lovable prices differently: plans are priced by credits, not seats, with unlimited members. If seat costs matter, see Lovable vs Bolt.new and the best AI app builder for small business.

Billing

From November 1, 2026, Link, a payment service built by Stripe, will bill Bolt subscriptions, including plan and domain subscriptions, and collect any required sales tax or VAT. Bolt says your plan and token allowance stay the same. You can opt out until October 28, 2026 via the notification email.

Decision

Which Bolt.new plan should you buy?

  1. Testing an idea: stay on Free, but don't rely on it for anything people use daily.
  2. One builder, steady use: Pro 10M. If you'll use it all year, annual billing saves $84.
  3. Running out mid-month: move up a tier. The per-token price falls as tiers rise.
  4. Several people building: Teams, budgeted at $30 per person.
