Guide
How does Replit pricing work?
Replit has a free Starter plan, Core at $20 a month ($18 billed annually) and Pro at $100 a month ($90 billed annually). Each paid plan includes monthly credits ($20 on Core, $100 on Pro), and usage beyond them is billed pay-as-you-go up to any budget you set.

Annual
Does annual billing save money?
Yes, 10% on both paid plans. Our arithmetic: Core is $20 × 12 = $240 against $216, a $24 saving; Pro is $100 × 12 = $1,200 against $1,080, a $120 saving. That matches Replit's “up to 10% off”. Pro costs five times Core ($100 ÷ $20 = 5).
Usage
What is Replit's effort-based pricing?
Replit's pricing FAQ says: “The Agent will spend more credits as it works longer, which means more complex requests will cost more than simple requests.” Its billing docs add:
- Each request creates one checkpoint, and simple requests typically cost less than complex builds.
- Replit asks for confirmation before a paid action starts.
- Free Mode is no-cost Agent work for Core and Pro, within an allowance.
- You can see spend per checkpoint in the Agent tab (hover the usage icon), and detailed billing under Settings → Usage.
What this means for your budget: Replit doesn't publish a per-request rate, so you can't turn a plan into a fixed number of requests. The plan price is a floor.
Overage
What happens when your credits run out?
Replit's FAQ: you “can either purchase a credit pack or you'll be charged for additional usage at pay-as-you-go rates”. Monthly credits reset on your renewal date.
Building isn't the only thing that draws on them. Core's credits apply to Agent work, publishing, network transfer, database storage and AI integrations, and Replit PostgreSQL production databases are billed by usage. Prices are subject to tax depending on your location.
Spend controls
How do you cap what you spend on Replit?
Replit offers two controls, set under Settings → Usage → Manage limits:
- Usage alerts: “a simple way to get a heads-up when you hit a certain spending amount beyond your monthly credits.”
- Budgets: “a hard cap on your monthly spending.” Once it's reached, Replit emails you and temporarily suspends all usage-based services until you raise the budget or the next cycle starts.
Set both before you build anything real. Publishing draws on the same credits, so pick a budget that won't pause a tool people rely on mid-month. Per-user spend limits are Enterprise-only.
Core or Pro
Is Pro worth it over Core?
Buy Pro for its features, not to save on usage. Pro includes $100 of monthly credits against Core's $20, but costs $80 more, and Replit doesn't say whether extra usage is billed at a different rate on each plan. What Pro adds: 10 parallel agents, up to 15 builders with pooled credits, up to 50 viewers, database rollback up to 28 days (7 days is standard), premium support, credits that roll over for two months, and Pro tiers with discounts on larger tiers.
Seats
Does Replit charge per user?
No. Replit's docs say Core lets you “invite up to 5 builders” with no separate team subscription, and Pro offers “up to 15 builders with pooled credits” and “no per-user fees—everyone works from the same plan”. Starter includes no collaboration seats.
That makes Replit one of the cheaper options for a small team. Compare seat rules in the best AI app builder for small business.
Free
Is Replit free?
Yes. Starter includes daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap, monthly cloud credits for production databases, object storage and publishing, and Lite build only. Your one free published app goes down after 30 days and carries a “Made with Replit” badge. Full build, connectors, Replit AI Integrations, badge removal, more published apps and Plan Mode need Core. Decision
Which Replit plan should you choose?
- Trying it out: Starter. Expect the app to go offline after 30 days.
- One person building an internal tool: Core. Pay monthly first, then switch to annual ($216 a year) once you know you'll keep it.
- A team of up to five: Core still covers you. Move to Pro for more builders, parallel agents or rollback.
- IT requires SSO or audit logs: Enterprise. Lovable lists SSO on its $50 Business plan; see Lovable vs Replit.

FAQ
Common questions
How much does Replit cost?
Replit Core costs $20 a month, or $18 a month billed annually. Pro costs $100 a month, or $90 annually. The Starter plan is free, and Enterprise is priced through sales. Usage beyond a plan's monthly credits is billed pay-as-you-go.
What is Replit's effort-based pricing?
Replit says the Agent spends more credits as it works longer, so complex requests cost more than simple ones. Each request creates one checkpoint, and Replit asks for confirmation before a paid action starts. Replit doesn't publish a fixed per-request rate.
Can a Replit bill be higher than the plan price?
Yes. When monthly credits run out you either buy a credit pack or pay for additional usage at pay-as-you-go rates. Set usage alerts and a budget: Replit calls budgets a hard cap that temporarily suspends usage-based services once reached.
Is Replit Pro worth it over Core?
Buy Pro for its features: 10 parallel agents, up to 15 builders with pooled credits, up to 50 viewers, database rollback up to 28 days and premium support. Replit doesn't say whether extra usage costs less on Pro, so don't count on Pro to save money on usage.
Does Replit charge per user?
No. Core lets you invite up to 5 builders and Pro up to 15, with no per-user fees: everyone works from the same plan. Per-user spend limits are an Enterprise feature.
Does Replit offer annual pricing?
Yes. Annual billing takes 10% off both paid plans: Core is $18 a month, or $216 a year, and Pro is $90 a month, or $1,080 a year. Replit describes this as up to 10% off.
Is Replit free?
Yes. Starter is free, with daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap, Lite build only and one published app that goes down after 30 days with a Made with Replit badge. Full build, connectors, Plan Mode and more published apps need Core.
