Comparison
Lovable vs Bubble: which should you choose?
Choose Lovable to build an internal web app by chat: Pro costs $25 a month for the whole workspace, and you can export the code. Choose Bubble if you need native iOS and Android apps: plans are bought per project, from $32 a month for web-only Starter ($29 billed annually), and Bubble apps can't be exported as code.

Prices
How much do Lovable and Bubble cost?
Lovable: Pro is $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year. Business starts at $50 a month, or $500 a year, and adds SSO and role-based access. Annual billing gives two months free.
Bubble sells three plan families: Web, Mobile, and Web & Mobile. Web Starter is $32 a month, or $29 billed annually; Growth $134 ($119), with Team and a custom Enterprise plan above that. Bubble says you save up to 20% annually.
If you have seen “$69” quoted for Bubble, that is the Web & Mobile Starter monthly price, not web-only Starter.
Annual savings, our arithmetic: Lovable Pro saves $50 a year ($300 against $250). Bubble web Starter saves $36 ($32 × 12 = $384 against $29 × 12 = $348).

Billing
How do the billing models differ?
This matters more than the entry price.
Lovable bills by credits per workspace. Everyone shares one balance, with unlimited members on every plan, and plans are priced by the credits they include, not by seats. Heavy building means top-ups: $15 per 50 credits on Pro.
Bubble bills by plan per project, then by workload. Bubble's pricing FAQ says plans are purchased at the project level; one project can hold a web app, a mobile app, or both, and separate projects each need their own plan. Each plan includes monthly workload units (175K on Starter, 250K on Growth, 500K on Team) and AI credits (1,000 on Starter). Go over and you can pay flexible overages per 1,000 workload units, which you can switch off; Bubble emails you at 75% and 100%.
Bubble extras: storage costs $3 a month per 100 GB, and bandwidth runs from 1 GB on Free to 100 GB on Starter, 500 GB on Growth and 1 TB on Team.
Mobile
Can Lovable or Bubble build mobile apps?
Bubble can. Its native mobile apps run on React Native. Building and testing mobile apps is free; you need a paid Mobile or Web & Mobile plan to deploy live, test on TestFlight or Google Play, and publish to the stores. Starter includes 5 build submissions a month, with extra builds in the first three months.
Lovable can't build native apps. Its FAQ says it “builds web applications, which you can design to be fully mobile friendly, and it does not generate React Native projects.” For an installable app, make it a progressive web app people add to their home screen, or wrap the published URL with Capacitor outside Lovable. See Can Lovable build mobile apps?
For an internal tool, a mobile-friendly web app is usually enough. If your field team needs an App Store app, Bubble's Mobile plans are the direct route; compare others in the best AI app builder for iOS and Android.
Ease
Which is easier for a non-coder?
We rate Lovable 5/5: a non-coder can get from a blank prompt to a working, shareable tool with login and stored data in one sitting. Lovable writes the interface, backend, database and login from your description.
We haven't tested Bubble, so it has no rating yet. Bubble includes an AI agent that draws on monthly AI credits, but we make no ease claim until we've built with it. See how we test.
Exit
Can you take your app with you?
Lovable: yes. Lovable says you own your code and can host apps wherever you choose. Git sync works on every plan; paid plans can download the codebase as a .zip. The database exports separately. The stack is fixed: TanStack Start (React and Vite for older apps) and PostgreSQL. Details: Lovable code export.
Bubble: no runnable code. Bubble's manual says “Bubble apps can only be run on the Bubble platform; there's no way of exporting your application as code.” You own your data and app design, Bubble owns the underlying code, and data exports as CSV or through the Bubble API. If leaving one day matters, weigh this first.
Decision
Which should an operator choose?
- An internal web tool, built by chat, for a team: Lovable. One subscription covers everyone.
- A native app in the App Store and Google Play: Bubble, on a Mobile or Web & Mobile plan.
- Several small apps on a tight budget: price both. Bubble charges per project; Lovable shares credits across all of them.
- You may want to leave one day: Lovable, because Bubble can't export code.
Separately from its Free plan, Bubble offers a 14-day trial of Starter's paid features for new apps; start it within 10 days of creating the app, and cancel before it turns into a paid plan if you don't want one.
FAQ
Common questions
Is Lovable better than Bubble?
For an internal web app built by describing it in chat, Lovable is the simpler choice: we rate it 5/5 for non-coders, and one $25 Pro plan covers the whole workspace. Bubble fits better if you need native iOS and Android apps. We haven't rated Bubble yet.
Is Bubble cheaper than Lovable?
Not at entry level. Bubble Starter for web costs $32 a month, or $29 billed annually, against $25 or about $21 for Lovable Pro. Bubble plans are bought per project, so three separate projects need three plans, while Lovable's credits cover every project in a workspace.
Can Lovable build mobile apps like Bubble?
No. Lovable builds mobile-friendly web apps, not native ones. You can make a Lovable app installable as a progressive web app, or wrap it with Capacitor outside Lovable. Bubble's Mobile plans publish native apps to the App Store and Google Play.
Can you export code from Bubble or Lovable?
Lovable, yes: Git sync works on every plan, and paid plans can download the whole codebase as a .zip. Bubble, no: its manual says Bubble apps can only run on the Bubble platform and can't be exported as code. Bubble data exports as CSV.
Does Bubble have a free plan?
Yes. Bubble has a free plan. Separately, new apps can get a 14-day trial of Starter's paid features, which you must start within 10 days of creating the app. The trial turns into a paid Starter plan unless you cancel. Lovable's free plan gives 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month.
What is a Bubble workload unit?
Bubble's measure of the server work your app does. Starter includes 175K workload units a month. Above your allowance you can pay flexible overages per 1,000 units, which you can switch off; Bubble emails you at 75% and 100%.
